Community Involvement

James Kratochvil is a member of the Crystal Lake Chamber of Commerce and the local council of the Knights of Columbus (K of C), and he runs the annual K of C Golf Outing that raises funds for local charities.

James also is a donor and serves on the Board of the Big Brothers Big Sisters of McHenry County Bowl for Kids’ Sake committee.

Furthermore he is a member of the Phi Kappa Psi Alumni Association and an Illinois State University donor.

For his efforts on behalf of Big Brothers Big Sisters of McHenry County, James Kratochvil was recognized and honored with a $10,000 grant for Big Brothers Big Sisters at Northwestern Mutual's 2008 Annual Meeting.

"At Northwestern Mutual we believe being a responsible corporate citizen includes giving back to the communities where we do business," said Ed Zore, president and chief executive officer of Northwestern Mutual. "Our Community Service Award program helps us achieve two goals. We recognize our representatives for their community involvement and we help improve the quality of life in the communities our representatives serve."
